Is there such a thing as TOO much blogging?
Indeed there is! At least in my opinion. Roughly 4-5 years ago, the term blog hit the internet and I had no idea when I kept seeing this word pop up. What is it and what do you do, I would ask myself. I later found out just what is was and I was on board. So yeah, I blog, not as often as perhaps I should since my children continue to grow so quickly, because let's face it, this "blog" is 90% about them. As I surf the internet, I find all these moms who have their own personal blog and then add on a foodie or some other more specific blog dedicated to arts & crafts, date ideas, family ideas, or a blog dedicated to baby wearing. How do these mom's do it?! On top of 2 blogs they also find the time to become a somewhat decent photographer so their pictures are presentable online. AND, if they are OC, they will edit their pictures to make the presentation of their blog even more attractive so they will get more hits. Oh, and what about give-aways? That's a lot of time devoted to this whole thing and for what? So in this entire time frame, where are the children? If we could look past that pretty blog, what would the home look like? Are other responsibilities being shirked because this "blog" of theirs is top priority? Perhaps, I don't get it, apparently. I just think the time that I DO give to my computer between my photographry, journaling, our family blog, and we can't leave out Facebook, is quite enough. I TRY to do most of my own computer stuff for either an hour first thing in the morning or when the children go to bed. I don't want my kids growing up and saying that Mama was always on the computer...ugh, that would break my heart!
Does anyone else have any thoughts about this? I don't want to offend anyone--I suppose I just need a bit of an eye-opener? I admit I am not super-mom and I will not pretend to be one.

I don't know, but like I put on another friend's blog, it's impossible to do it all. Those who claim to be doing it all are faking it. No one is perfect. So even if they look like they have it all together on the computer screen, I'm certain that there is something they feel they could be better at and work harder on.
By the way, I really like your background. But where did your header go? It was so cute!
I'm working on the header, the background is my own creation! I'm figuring out this digital scrapbooking thing and I just might venture out into putting one together for the kids...but time consuming since Lana is now 5 years old. It should go quick though, it doesn't take that long to put together a page.
I think you've hit it on the head! What it is, is obsession. I have to limit my time on the computer b/c I get sucked into looking at hew and fun things. I haven't blogged in a while b/c I haven't edited my photos and I haven't had much time from my blog hopping to do so. It's so sad really. So now I try to find the info I need and get OFF and OUT of my seat and back into the messy apartment that we call home. Mainly, I find myself getting overwhelmed with the mess that I escape to the perfect land of blogs. I've come out of my funk though, YEA!! I've started setting the timer for specific tasks and the computer is now included.
As of tonight, things are finally starting to look up, and clean, again! I think that for SOME, it's mom's trying to make "me time" only it spills over into clean or family time. That's my opinion. Everyone is concerned about everyone else. I could go on, but I need to go to bed.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos. How's your house coming along for the sale?
