Never Lost or Forgotten

What's that quote? About friendship...the one that says something like, true friends can pick up where you left off regardless of the time that has passed? It's been all over facebook, I just can't recall it.

Friends are like stars, you don't always see them but you know they are there. We were ALL able to gather for the first time in 10 + years. Two of us married into the military and have been all over! Three of us have settled down at home base, and anothers husband has finished up his degree! It's interesting where life takes us. The different paths we choose and lead but luckily timing was on our side this go-round and the 3 out-of-staters were all gonna be able to be here at the same time! A get-together was in order!

And together we got. All 21 of us! That included, 6 of us gals, 6 gradeschoolers, 4 tweenagers,  3 preschoolers, 2 dogs, 1 toddler and 1 infant. It was a busy and fun filled evening indeed, where laughter rolled in to the night hours, late bedtimes were apparent, and consequentially also involved us driving home late. Oh, how it was all worth it! It was like traveling back in time when we were all in middle/highschool together. Well, minus me, I am the baby the group. It seems to happen more often than not but I've adjusted to it and I am okay with it. My sister was absolutely the best and never minded me tagging along. She never made me feel like I wasn't invited. I always felt wanted with her, and never the little nagging sister. So her friends also became mine. Beat that awesome-ness.

We hugged, we laughed.

There were delicious appetizers that satisfied the hunger while we reminisced and children laughed.

And others slept...

Delicious food that was cooked from a recipe that only entailed ingredients not amounts!

We loved on little ones and the little ones loved each other.

New friendships were established. Old ones rekindled.

Picture compliments by my little photographer in training, Keilana.

Ladies, thanks for a good time and let's not let another 10 years pass before we do it all over again!

And this is what you get when a bunch of 30-something-year-olds get together and attempt to revisit our youth. Oh, yes. We did.
