Pumpkins & Apples

CAUTION: PICTURE OVERLOAD

This past weekend we visited Burt's Pumpkin Patch and then headed over to Hillcrest Orchards. We got a late start and the kids had just woken from their naps after an hour ride in the car so needless to say that a lot of pictures aren't posed. Another reason why Kayden's has his pacy in all the pictures, he didn't wake up in a great mood.

Hitchin' a ride in the wheel barrow.

Kayden's turn to drive!

And these aren't the largest pumpkins available. The price range is from $3 to about $85. Maybe even more, I didn't browse the higher priced ones...not in our price range!

It was actually pretty cold and windy.

Lana found our little pumpkin! How she picked that particular one out of selection is beyond me. Perhaps not one I would have selected, but something about it struck her fancy so we agreed.

I don't know the name of this type of pumpkin but they are cool...we call them ghost pumpkins since they are white.

We finally chose our pumpkins and loading them in the wheel barrow.

I found this slightly humorous.

Now, who on earth does Monkey look like in this picture. It's SO hard to tell.

Chilin' on the way home from the "apple house".

Partaking of the most delicious pumpkin pie I have ever tasted. It didn't seem like Kayden was a big fan but Keilana was ready to dig in! Check out the pie where she was scraping off the top.

Our plethora of goodies that we got during our festivities: 2 Pumpkins, Pumpkin Pie, Apple Cider, Apple Bread, Apple Pies, and 1/2 Peck of freshly picked apples! *sigh* I love fall.

Okay, well if Cinderella is "eatable" (as opposed to the edible variety), then I guess it's better that Lana does go as Sleeping Beauty for Halloween!
My favorite pictures are of Lana with the huge pumpkin and Kayden enjoying his apple in the car - so cute!
I particularly love the picture of all the goodies you came home with! It all looks so yummy...isn't fall magnificent?! I totally spaced getting my yummy candy apples and still can't get past it!
