"Abnormal Gate"

This is just a quick post to let everyone know about our Monkey and his troublesome "abnormal gate", as was diagnosed by the pediatrician, on his ear. He finished his first round of antibiotics to no avail and after 2 days before his last dose, the swelling and infection started to reveal itself once more. So, today we were off to the doctor's office again to get it checked out and learned from the culture that was taken 1 1/2 weeks ago, that he, does in fact, have Staph. Fortunately for ALL of us, it isn't the more severe strand that is resistant to almost all antibiotics. So we're thankful for that. He starts his second round of a different antibiotic with warm compresses today and has an appointment scheduled for the 9th of September with a pediatric surgeon. He got his finger pricked today to check his iron and he was SO brave and he never cried! He intently watched everything the nurse was doing from pricking his finger and watching himself bleed to the nurse retrieving the blood for the test. He was such a good boy and sat so still!
