It's not a good thing to go 4 days without posting, I get behind and too many things to blog about and too many cute pictures to post. Hmm, where to begin? I'll update everyone on my sweet little boy.
Kayden
He is getting SO active, he's absolutely everywhere. He isn't quite yet crawling, scooting on his belly actually. He'll get on his hands and knees, take a few creeps to the object he is after and then fall to his belly, reaching for the goody. I'm wondering if he'll crawl or just creep. I haven't been able to capture a picture of it yet, even though I have tried SO many times, but he stands on all fours like Mogli from the Jungle Book.

When I'm able to get a picture of him doing it, I'll post it. I did take a picture of him with his favorite toy, Fisher Price Pop-Onz. He'll stay occupied forEVER with this thing. He's taking steps with some assistance and two more teeth are pushing they're way through. The last two came with a fever and these two are coming with a very runny nose, yuck! And of course I'm continuing to be sleepless in Atlanta. As Kayden discovers how much fun it is to be active and explore he is not wanting to give it up to give it up at

night and I'm finding it difficult to get him to bed on time. Jon and I try to get him in bed around 8:30, the kids' NEW bed time (heaven sent) opposed to 10 or 11pm, but he doesn't usually end up asleep until around 10-10:30! He is such a Mama's boy and wants me to hold him to go to sleep but does okay with Daddy if I need a break. However, if he ever sees me it's all over with. I would not be assisting Kayden to get to sleep if he didn't sleep through the night but because he does, I don't mind rocking him or soothing him to sleep. Keilana

broke me of that! Kayden is being introduced to the world of table food and his teeth that are quickly coming in are helping him with that. He absolutely loves it--so we're just skipping right over the pureed crap that he refuses to eat but he still enjoys rice/oatmeal cereal. I assume he likes the textures of regular food. The other day I made a spinach souffle and he kept screaming at me for more bites--he did quite well with it and so far we have found no food allergies! The last couple of weeks he has really gotten good at pushing away things that he doesn't want, IE: me wiping or sucking out his nose, baby food, or if he is full, his bottle. Kayden has also learned how to pull blankets off his head. Did I mention that he is pulling up to things now? I absolutely LOVE this picture of Kayden. We were getting ready for bed in Keilana's room. He was being so squirmy for Jon so he put him in Keilana's bed to get his wiggles out and he thought it was funny--this is the smile I got.
Halloween
Here are the kids Halloween costumes. Keilana's does come with a hat but it doesn't stay on well. I have to sew on some elastic so it'll stay on for Halloween. Okay, for the entire month of October I've beeing asking Keilana what she wants to be for Halloween and her reply was ALWAYS Snow White--that's her favorite princess. Jon and I looked everywhere for a Snow White costume but none were made for a 2 year old other than one at the Disney store for like $40--I don't think so. Anyway, we were at Children's Place a week and a half ago when Jon found the
cutest sassy witch

costume and it was 50% off too! I like those signs. Jon turns to Keilana and says, "sorry Keilana, you have to be a witch for Halloween." He was very excited about his find. She's had to get used to the idea of being a witch instead of Snow White and she still doesn't like to put it on but knows
that she can't get candy if she doesn't. There were so many costumes that I liked for Kayden but Jon

and I both finally decided on the monkey and it is absolutely adorable on him! I love it. Anyway, Friday we went to the Trunk-or-Treat with Tyler. It's just more fun for them when they do these things together. Keilana absolutely adores her Tyler. In fact, real quick story, Keilana was saying the prayer for dinner the other night and these were her 'thank you's', "thank you for my family, thank you for the cars (talking about the fair rides), thank you for the gospel, thank you for the missionaries, thank you for Tyler and Auntie". I love to hear her pray because it lets me know what SHE is thinking of and thankful for. Anyway, the kids had a great time trunk-or-treating and Keilana AND Kayden received LOTS of compliments for their costumes. Wendy has the pictures of the Trunk-or-Treat on her camera so I can't post those, but I do have the ones from the other festival that I'm about to mention.

Saturday we were invited to a

neighborhood Halloween party. It wasn't anything big, just something fun for the kids to do. They had one of those big blow up things you jump in, a popcorn machine, cotton candy machine, a few arts and crafts, a couple of games and a goody bag to take home. Keilana certainly enjoyed her first experience with cotton candy and Daddy fulfilled one of his life long dreams, to make it.
So there it is folks, the update on the Quan Clan. We are now waiting for the big day where we go and do some major Trick-Or-Treating!

You are such a cute family. I love seeing the pictures. The costumes are adorable. Next year I think we might dress Avan up a little more.
