Attempting to be creative...

I don't know about anywhere else, I would assume so, but boutique bows are really big over here in Georgia. I've made Keilana a few, you've seen them in her hair but none like the "original" boutique bow. Well, these bows are SOOOO ridiculously expensive (gotta make money so how) starting at about $3 for baby clips and all the way up to about $15 for the larger toddler bows. I can't afford to grab a bow for every color outfit. SO! I did some research online and found a great website that teaches how to make them, FOR FREE!, and here are a few examples of ones that I've made so far. It's still a work in progress but I'm getting better with each bow I make. The first two that I made were mutilated so I decided for a do over with those. I made myself a starter set with the basic colors so I'll have one to match each outfit for now and then I'll start customizing them more. I have figured that I've made 3 times the amount of bows with the money spent on ribbon to make them myself, than if I had gone and bought this many at the store or online. The size/style that I have made range from about $8-$12, depending on the website or boutique shop. Keilana was ever so kind to model them for me and she just looks so dang cute in them! The best part about making them yourself is customizing the size--I think the very LARGE bows on a toddler's head looks silly. The pink one in Keilana's hair is about as big as I like them and that one is ALMOST pushing it for me.
