Before I get TOO far behind, I better take a quick second and post Halloween. Let me just say real quick that I bought an external hard drive during the Black Friday sale and I am SO glad I did. I have EVERY picture from 2003-Present, including the last year of my photos sessions, as well as documents from years ago to present. You would think that with all those files I would be needing a new one but on the contrare, I've barely put a dent in the storage space if provides. I can't believe it--say good-bye to cluttery CD's, and rummaging through them to find a specific picture. With the new hard drive, I have it organized by year and month so I can quickly access any picture that my little heart desires! And the BEST part about it, it's compact and portable. I can slide it down in my purse or my camera bag and I am off with every picture that I have ever taken! Technology is amazing!
On with the post. Not much to say about Halloween, the pictures will speak for themselves. Depending on how long you have been viewing my blog, you'll recognize most of the treats that we did last year. We didn't have time for the banana caterpillars but Wendy and I were determined to not stress ourselves, and get out the door for Trick-or treating in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't so grand--wet and cold!
The church's trunk-or-treat and Keilana's first cake walk. I felt bad that she played it for like 15 minutes and didn't win anything.
But then she tried her hand at swinging at the pinata. Of course she wasn't successful but she did reap the benefits of hanging around.
Our halloween dinner and Kayden attempting to taste test.
I try to be real good at keeping my kids away from sugar. I bake with agave which is easier on the blood sugar levels and much better than high fructose corn syrup. So this year, we started a new tradition. We allow the children to pick out 3-4 pieces of candy and then turn the rest in to the "great pumpkin" who will then in turn, leave a gift behind for the candy. This year it was movies.
Kayden got Impy's Island. I had never heard of it, but since he is into dinosaurs I thought he might enjoy it. It looked lame to me but the kids did like it. Keilana's first movie that she saw in the theater was Horton Hears a Who, so I found that one for her.
