Our Babies

Just a couple of cute pictures of each. Well, the one of Keilana is in color and b&w--Jon and I couldn't agree which was better. I liked the b&w; Jon, the color. I purchased Adobe PSE 7 today at Costco. I had a $30 off coupon so I snagged it while the getting was good! It's quite confusing, lots to learn and create but I'm sure I'll get there. My pictures are coming along, I'm trying to focus on sharpness, and of course, lighting. You might have noticed my watermarks changing...I'm working on one that I like and want to stick with. Things keep getting better and better.

Is she not amazingly beautiful?!

Keilana is seriously an amazing little girl. Wisdom and maturity beyond her years, she continues to be a wonderful help around the house. She's incredibly responsible and I almost have to remind her to be a kid. I had an epiphany the other day when I realized that my little girl had grown up. There was something she did, I can't quite remember, that put me in shock and realized that I better get my butt in gear and enjoy her now because the innocence and need for my attention will soon disappear. In fact, one thing that I have noticed is that when she is having play dates (especially with little girls) she does NOT want me in the same room. She says it's just a girl party and not a big person party. How SAD!! That pretty much means that, Mama, you're not cool enough to play with us so leave! Ugh. She is very sensitive and is starting to tell me when I hurt her feelings, which, I realize, is quite often so I'm easing up. I'm sure I've mentioned it in the past but she continues to show great leadership skills and most often takes initiative. I'm grateful for her example in my life and that I get to be a part of hers. I simply need to constantly remind myself what an amazing little spirit she is and what a wonderful gift she is to our family. I'll post more pictures of her soon.

And of course, we can't forget our little man...

Such a boy this little guy keeps turning into. He's starting to grunt and use a deep voice to imitate people, or characters, or just pretend he is someone else. That's another thing, his imaginative play is kicking in and it's oh so cute! My favorite thing he does is the imitation of Spider Man. I'm not sure when or how he got interested in that character, but he is, and there is no going back. If he doesn't like something you do, he'll point his fingers at you and say, "psss". I guess that's an accurate way to put it. Funny story--We were swimming, Jon threw him in the water and he went under. When he came back up the first thing he did was "shoot" daddy with his "web". It was so hilarious. I love this guy. Kayden is STILL a huge cuddle bug and I can't get enough of it. His vocabulary is quite the extended one, and I think I remember saying a while back that he knows all his colors, shapes, counting 1-10, some phonics (thanks to his sissy), and MOST of the alphabet. He likes to sing and enjoys reading like Keilana, though, I don't think anyone enjoys books as much as she does. As you can see in the next picture, he is showing his boyhood. Can anyone guess what is in his hand...yuck.

Amazing! I like both the B&W and Color but if I HAVE to choose I would go for the color. To me it seems to give it more warmth in her personality of the picture...wow did that make sense?

Love the picure of Kayden picking up worms...those are worms right? Dried worms.
