4th of July

Typically, by tradition, we spend our 4th of July in North Carolina; so, here you are. I started the morning with the kids pictures that I have already posted. Then once everyone was ready, we all headed down to the lake.

Jon actually rowed across the lake with me and Kayden as passengers. It was really cool, exhausting for him, but had a good time.

As Bo ages, he's gotten less tolerant of kids and so it was either I find him a new home with an older couple, or my parents decide to take him. They really liked Bo, and he is a good dog, so they decided to take care of him. We keep up with his vet bills, and food, he just lives with my Mom and Dad. Bo loves the water, and he had doggie paddled out to my dad.

Then we moved on to our water ballon fight!

Tyler was aiming at Keilana and to avoid it she backed up, falling into the cooler. Tyler took advantage of the moment and still got her with the water balloon. It was so funny but of course she didn't think so. Her feelings were hurt because she believed we were all laughing at her. I tried to explain that it was just funny and cute, but we weren't laughing that she got hurt.

Once we had eat dinner, we moved on to the fireworks! This was a great opportunity to try my hand at shutter speed. Not bad for my first time. They would have turned out better if I would have set up the tripod to prevent camera shake.

Jon is in there somwhere. He was moving around so the camera picked up on his movement.

Keilana isn't a fan of fireworks, the noise frightens her. She had also fallen asleep and we woke her for the display so she wasn't in the best of moods to participate. Kayden's first real experience with hands on fireworks. He loved it.

He had it written all over his face.
