Olive Garden, Mmmm!

My cousin Heather lives in Ogden, about 10 minutes from Jon's house so we were able to hit them up for a date night and enjoy a wonderfully discounted meal. I always look forward to hanging out with them too when we come out to Utah. They are both comical and fun people to be around! At dinner, Heather was so funny, we were very entertained by her. She just recently started working at Olive Garden (hence the discount) and has been going through training for 3 weeks now. We received lots of tid bits and information about Olive Garden. At one point when Heather was calling of something she recently learned, James (her husband) chimed in and sarcastically said, "More fun facts about Olive Garden." It was so hilarious, perhaps you had to be there. Speaking of fun facts, did you know that you can order any meal for the lunch price/portion at any time of the day, including dinner? Something they don't tell you but good to know! I told her that her mission is to learn how they make the Alfredo sauce. She does have all the ingredients in a trainee manual they gave her, now she just needs to know how much of each ingredient to create the BEST tasting Alfredo sauce ever. She informed us that there would be a communication problem since all the cooks were Hispanic. I just thought that was funny. Kind of like a Yankee learning to cook Chitlins down south. Regardless of the nationality, they are some good cooks!

After dinner we went over to their apartment. I hadn't seen this one since they had moved. It's small, but perfect for them! Heather had it decorated so cute.

We were laughing in this picture because Heather had on like 3 inch boots and was towering over me. I told her to get rid of them because I felt like a small person. She just laughed at me as she squeezed me, Jon captured the moment. We really do have a great time together. Poor James and Jon. (hm...we just need a Peter to go in front of James now.)
