Briefing on the history of The Palace of Versailles according to Wikipedia.
"The Palace of Versailles, or simply Versailles, is a royal château in Versailles, in France's Île-de-France region. In French, it is known as the Château de Versailles. When the château was built, Versailles was a country village; today, however, it is a suburb of Paris, some twenty kilometers southwest of the French capital. From 1682, when Louis XIV moved from Paris, until the royal family was forced to return to the capital in 1789, the court of Versailles was the centre of political power in France. Versailles is therefore famous not only as a building, but as a symbol of the system of absolute monarchy of the Ancien Régime.

One of the very cool aspects of Jon's department is the cultural diversity and coming from a diverse family, I can appreciate that. These are two of Jon's co-workers. On the left is Olivier (pronounced Oliv-i-a), he is French based. Sergio is on the right, he moved here from Mexico City. When Jon was in France, there was a debate over whether or not Fillet Mignon was pork or beef. Olivier saying it was pork and Sergio and Jon saying is was beef. To settle the dispute, Olivier invited them over to his apartment for a Fillet Mignon dinner, which, turns out to be pork after all. There's proof to back it up too. So Olivier came to the States to work on a 3 week project recently, and in return we invited him and Sergio over for dinner to our home. I've been able to have great opportunities in meeting A LOT of Jon's co-workers and it's a lot of fun getting to know them.
