Casabar Baby Blessing

Jon refused to hold Josiah; he was afraid of "breaking" him. In shock I exclaimed, "But you've done it twice already!" I ended up tricking him and placing Josiah in his arms and after about 5 minutes he was begging me to take him. What is it with men? It actually surprised me with Jon because he was so great, and still is great, with our children and even my sister's kids.

Kayden didn't want to hold Josiah on his own so I thought it would be a good opportunity for him to be close to a new baby since Daddy was holding him. He was super cute about it. He kept patting him and touching his head saying "baby". I think he understood how little he was because he was not rough with him at all as his little boy personality and ways are starting to emerge.

Okay, so I have to confess that after almost 2 years of no newborns around, and realizing that my "baby" is turning into a 2 year old little boy, I'm starting to get a tad bit baby hungry. I'm staying strong though by getting a good dose of any tiny baby I can get my hands on. So Wendy, hurry up before I break!!! haha! By the way, my Lana girl took this picture, she did good, huh?! What is this world coming to? A three year old learning to work digital cameras, computers, and cell phones. I was doing well to learn how to turn the TV on and off, work a VCR player, and play Atari at that age.

Lana was in her heaven. She was so gentle, kissed his head, checked out his tiny hands, rubbed his face...it was so stinkin' cute! Daddy asked her if she wanted one and she nodded her head while saying yes. I replied facetiously, "then is she going to get up at 3 am during feeding time." Time will tell what the future holds for our little family, but I'm keeping my ground.

And here is the precious baby boy who I am spoiling beyond belief. I can't help it, how can you resist that cute little face?! Something real quick about this little boy but has nothing to do with the blessing. The night of Auntie Kristi's wedding, we lost his baba (pacy), but fortunately found one laying around Grandma and Grandpa's house. The next morning he lost it playing around the house and we never were able to find it until 3 days later. The first night was pretty rough for him, I had to help him get to sleep by holding him. Now he CONSTANTLY has a car in his hand, even for bedtime and it's my belief that the cars has fulfilled the security of the pacy. He's doing really well without it and I'm glad it was this easy to get him off. I thought it was going to be a disaster! Thank goodness for little toy cars!

More pictures of Josiah's day.
