Thanksgiving...2 weeks later

I realized that I'm getting a little slack on my updates. I'm doing good to keep my sanity as Jon has been traveling so much, although, I did have to have a "time out" last night at bed time. BOTH kids were melting down and crying for me. Quite overwhelming. All I have to say is thank goodness for technology, more specifically, the television! Anyway, Jon has been gone a week and a half and still has another week and half to go! If anyone sees my picture on the news as a runaway mom, call Jon and let him know I'll be in Hawaii!

Sooooo, Thanksgiving was a blast, we had so much fun and the kids did as well. They ran around for 3 days straight and wore themselves ragged! They even wore Grandpa Haldey ragged. He was SUCH a good sport and much more patient then I could ever imagine being with two kids following me everwhere I went. Wait, I do that now. Silly me!

Even Bo and Riley (our dogs) had to take a couple of days to recover from all the excitement. Thanksgiving day there were 7 dogs in one house! All were small, ranging from 2 lbs to probably around 25 lbs but still 7 nontheless--it felt like we were running an animal shelter. Thanksgiving morning we started off with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and after about an hour into that we started to prepare for dinner. It was good eating and different from our traditional food. The turkey was amazing, Jon and I ate ourselves into a coma, and Keilana and Tyler didn't even make it to Thanksgiving dinner--they fell asleep before it was ready.

(Left) Kayden also enjoyed himself, by the end of dinner his belly was pooching out a mile. He ate just about everything and in the begining I couldn't feed him fast enough before yelling at me to give him another bite. He isn't too fond of peas I have found but LOVED the turkey and mashed potatoes--meat and potato kind of guy. He was a happy little boy by the time dinner was over. (Right) As you can see, Kayden was still munching even after Keilana had woken up from her nap. The kid ate like a king that day! And of course we had to wait on desert until later that evening since we were too full. We played games while we enjoyed our pies and other yummy treats.

Tyler and Keilana's (adopted) Grandpa had a grand idea to let the kids build gingerbread houses but put the moms in charge--so thoughtful. They just got to sit back and enjoy watching. It was actually a lot of fun, Keilana kept wanting to eat everything of course and I had to give her some shots of icing here and there straight from the icing pack so we wouldn't go into a conniption fit. Keilana was pretty artistic in her design. I let her put things where she wanted to and guided her a little bit here and there. It turned out to be a masterpiece between the two of us! The rest of the pictures are just some fun pictures that I took along the way.

Kayden chilling out, sucking his thumb, passing the time away. He is SO easy going.

(Left) Kayden started doing this cute thing where he throws his hands in the air and then puts them on top of his head. (Right) Accidentally plaing peek-a-boo. He hasn't quite mastered it to do it on his own. But still a CUTE picture.

(Left) Keilana posing for the camera as usual. She doesn't mind posing for me when we are goofing off but when it comes to taking portraits in the studio, she suddenly becomes shy and uncooperative. (Right) Having some Thanksgiving dinner leftovers. Mmmmm!
