Last night we came home to a goodie filled pumpkin as well as these "spooky glasses" that an anonymous family from our ward had done as their FHE activity. Keilana was intrigued when I showed them to her and enjoy wearing them all day today.
I am EXTREMELY proud and relieved to say that her royal highness is FINALLY potty trained. That also means, big potties, public potties, #1 & #2! It hasn't been THAT bad, I've heard of worse, but it doens't change the fact that I despise potty training. She'll have the occasional accident but will usually catch herself before it gets out of hand. She's pretty proud of her Dora panties and My Little Pony panties and will gladly show them to whomever asks about them.
Another dreaded subject of parenting--teething. Yes, our sweet boy is getting his two front teeth. A little early for Christmas but that's okay. We've got the bottom two already in and those seemed to be a breeze but these top two have given him a fit. Keilana did this as well when she was teething and it drives me absolutely crazy; Kayden has started to grind his teeth getting a feel for that tooth up top. It was a little easier to avoid that with Keilana because I would stick a pacy in her mouth but Kayden doesn't take one. I'm trying to find a toy or something that keeps him occupied from grinding those little teeth. To help him feel a little better, I gave him his first little teething biscuit or whatever they are called (That's what I grew up calling them) and he hung out in his Johnny Jump up for quite a while sucking on it. Jon and I recently learned that he really enjoys it and in fact he'll jump himself right to sleep in it. I guess the bouncing relaxes and knocks him out. Whatever works! Anyway, he loved it and ate about 2/3 of it!
