Writers Need Something To Write About

Shocking that I am writing yet another post within one week. What shall we do with this? I couldn't help myself, I needed an outlet.

First of all, before enduring my venting, go read this article. When you've finished, then come back and you'll understand more. While you are there, you must take a look at the comments people have left--it's absolutely ridiculous!

The 11 Saddest Animal Movies of All Time

So you've watched Bambi, Old Yellar, The Neverending Story, right? Sure, we all have. Classics, no doubt. Along with many other movies that have involved death. People are commenting that these movies should never exist, that as parents we shouldn't let our children watch them because it involves a "furry-animal" dying. Yeah, let's just put our children in a bubble, wrap them up so tight that when a real-life experience comes their way, they'll freak out and not know what to do with the situation or emotions. I know these are just opinions that are stated; but, please find something better to do with your talent then write an article on "The 11 Saddest Animal Movies of All Time" stating we should keep our children away from them. What would the entertainment world be if we didn't have a variety. If every movie ended in one big happy ending party, that would just simply get old--even for children. That would teach that life is blissful, and that every ending is happy and that is just not the way the world works. *sigh* Petty, petty stuff.

And as far as the new "Up" movie that involves a black princess and a European prince, don't even get me started. I saw THAT article on AOL News yesterday. I have zero problem with a black princess for the children but a huge problem because now the ADULTS have just gone a-wall with the racism and a large portion of the African-American population thinks it's a great new excuse to show arrogance. I'm not racist but I do have a problem with a majority of that population acting as though this generation owes them the world for something that happened to THEIR ancestors by OUR ancestors. It's a new day in age folks, give over it and move on. You have no one to blame but yourself for your actions. They complained to Disney for not having a black princess on there but now the complaint is no black prince. Are you flipping serious?! I don't think, in general, that THEY will ever be happy with this life. I wish I could find the article so you could read the comments left. I had to stop because I was getting furious.

For those of you who haven't lived in the South, or, even more so RAISED in the south...thank your lucky stars you have been sheltered from it. I hope I haven't offended anyone by this post.

Yeah, people just need to get over themselves. They failed to mention that Artax comes back at the end of The Neverending Story and all is well...geez!
As far as all the other movies go, death is a fact of life. I think these movies help children understand death on their level, and better prepares them to face it when they lose someone they are close to...because we all know it's inevitable, right?
But I guess those people are in denial about that fact...
