We were happy to get back to our home but were not completely ready to leave Utah and Jon's family. Such is life. Jon and I had seperate flights and since Keilana's ticket was purchased with mine, she and I flew together while Jon took Kayden as an infant in arms. That will be the last time Kayden flies for free, I doubt we will be traveling anywhere before February. Jon told me that Kayden slept the entire first flight to Texas and most of the flight to Georgia. They had about a two hour layover in Ft. Worth. So Jon had it pretty easy with Kayden.
Keilana and I had a lot of fun on our flights! The first was to Cincinatti and on the way there we did stickers, ate our "complimentary" snack of biscoff cookies and our "complimentary drink". I decided to let her choose her drink instead of ordering her water or juice and she chose coke. I allowed it since it only happens on the rare occasion. After all that fun, she slept the rest of the way, about an hour. The second leg of the flight was not as wonderful, thank goodness it was only about an hour and a half. It was a plane that held 76 passengers and there were a total of 12 passengers. A dream come true, right? Not exactly. Our original seating was beside a man who smelled of horrid B.O.! So I decided that since the plane was practically empty we'd switch seats. I went back 2 rows and over one and woulnd't you know that the stinch was still as strong!! Keilana and I made due by adding more stickers to her sticker book and having another snack. There was something really wrong with the cabin pressure because I've never had such a hard time with my ears popping or NOT popping rather. Especially during our decent I couldn't keep my ears from pressure building up, and poor Lana didn't know how to. The last 10 minutes of the flight she was crying and complaining of her ears hurting. I tried every trick in the book to help her pop them and the flight attendant even came by and gave me two cups to hold over her ears. Apparently that is suppose to help ease that stinging pain that accompanies pressurized ear drums. It seemed to help her until we finally landed and all of a sudden, with her eyes wide open and a huge smile on her face, she exclaims, "They popped!". In fact, I think they popped like 3 times before it was all said and done with because she informed me with that same exclamation 3 times.
We met up with Daddy and Kayden in the airport and after we dealt with some "misplaced" luggage, we were on our way home. Thanks Uncle Billy for picking us up late on a work night.
