We started the night out in a rush and panic to get to the famous Baby Contest. Keilana is too old now but Kayden was the stud of the 18-24 month old group. There were about 40 contestants in this age group, we were second to last. It goes pretty quick. Here we are walking across the stage in front of the judges, I'm holding up his number.
Can you believe he didn't even place?! What were they thinking?! Who would deny this handsome little boy all decked out of a ribbon and plaque stating he's the winner? I think he did, however, have the vote of the last judge on the right. Look how she is checkin' him out while the others had moved on. Don't get me wrong, there were some cute kids, but...well, you get the idea. Then again, I am a proud mother, and therefore, will express partiality.
Lana in her Heaven! When we got to the fair and she saw the Ferris wheel, she replied with glee, "It's IS the fair! We ARE here! Oooo, the fair!"
The LOOOONG awaited ride on THE cars. I believe they rode almost everyone of the different cars on the ride, a total of about 5 times on this ride.
I think this has to be, hands down, the best picture taken of the kids. Check out that expression on Kayden's face. He has this same look when he rides the rocking horse at my parents' house. You can tell that Lana was totally in her element.
This was Kayden's first time riding, he enjoyed himself tremendously. The first ride he got on was the cars, obviously, and the firetruck to be exact. When I pulled him off, he got very upset and was ready for some more action. It's fun having him be on the adventurous and daring side of life.
Kayden's very first ride, the cars of course.
"The Dragon Ride"
Each year we let the kids grab a duck.
Keilana HAD to have that pink one right there. She missed it as it was passing so I had to toss it up the stream to float back down to her. I was avoiding a melt down.
And these were their prizes. This was the best picture I could get, they were tired and uncooperative. Kayden got a green frog, while Lana got a yellow and blue butterfly. Surprisingly, Keilana didn't crash on the way home but Kayden was out before we left the parking lot.

What a fun time! Love the expression on Kayden's face! BTW... what a cute tux! Will he be sporting that at Kristi's wedding?
What a fun night...all except that crazy man at the Merry-go-Round! Kayden, your face on the motorcycle cracks me up! I'm glad Mommy was able to capture that since she couldn't get a good one of you doing it on the horse at Nanny and Papa's house. You and Tyler are going to have a blast being "adventurous" together in the future! And Lana, I'm glad you had fun at the fair. It's cute how much you love riding the cars so much. Too bad it's another year now until we go again! :(
Sheesh...I just read my post. That line about Lana liking to ride the cars was just a bit redundant...don't you think?! Oh well, that just shows how MUCH she really does love them! haha
