Maybe I have referred to Jon's calling as the 1st Counselor in the Young Men's presidency when we first moved into the ward, 4 years ago. These are the boys that was in his class, with the exception of Chris, Dan's brother, that tagged along as the younger sybling but was a joy, nonetheless! Jon and I have watched these boys grow in every aspect of their lives. We've seen them make good choices, and bad choices, and, unfortunately, a couple of them have decided to go their "seperate" ways but will hopefully come around as they learn life's little lessons. We've counceled them, loved them, rescued them when they were in trouble--it's been an emotional roller coaster but we have some GREAT memories with these guys. One of them, Justin, is about to leave on his mission, so we had them over this past weekend for one big last shin dig sleepover before he goes to serve in Canada. I still can't fathom how time flies by so quickly!
YES! That is Keilana in Jon's arms!! For their activity night, the boys wanted to throw Bro. Quan a "baby shower". The hat Keilana is wearing was part of an outfit Justin gave--he had a little help from mom. I thought this was so neat and thoughtful of the boys. I have kept, used, and saved everything they gave us. They even brought little cupcakes decorated with baby bottles and baby diaper pins as topppers. I saved one, froze it, and let Keilana eat it on her first birthday. She is about 2 weeks old here. *sigh* How depressing.

And here we are today. These are the boys who have stayed with us through thick and thin over the years and still enjoy being with us. I've learned a lot from them and love them so much! I'm sure that no one would have paid any attention to it but just in case, I don't let Kayden have girl colored paci's in public. This one was Keilana's when she was a baby and works in a pinch. AND, not the best picture of me or any of us for that matter, this was taken late at night, you can tell the kids are ready for bed.

Wow, that's awesome guys!! I'm sure that you all are such a great inspiration to those boys. How funny is it that my Jon is the 1st counselor in the YM Presidency too?!!
Wow! They sure transformed....into men...(c: It's fun to watch kids grow up around you to see what they become...then again, it serves as a reminder on how old we are!
