Spring Fun

Well, we finally got around to making our easter cookies last week! But they could also be "Spring Cookies" too! Better late than never. Kayden was waiting around for something to happen...maybe to eat a cookie?

Here is Keilana's black eye the day after her incident with slamming into the corner of a table. This actually looks good compared to how it looks a few days later. The bruise seems to get worse as it heals. Poor girl, got her first black eye at 3! Not too bad though.

Yesterday was so beautiful! My mom and I decided to take the kids, Keilana, Tyler and Kayden, to the local Elementary playground. It is about 1/2 a mile from my mom's house and about 1 1/4 mile all the way around. So it was a nice long walk for all of us, especially the kids. They had an absolute blast on the 3 different playgrounds there, but were SO tired afterwards. On our way home Keilana and Tyler took turns walking and riding in the stroller to let them rest. Kayden was held by my cousin, as we walked home so the kids could take a break. Even though kayden seems to not way much when you pick him up, those 20lbs start to get heavy!

Kayden wanted to crawl around but realizing that it doesn't feel to good on his knees. And since he isn't quite walking yet, he just stood around, squatting and playing with the little pebbles. He LOVED the slide and would sign "more" to go down again.

Okay, so here is a lovely playground, don't you think? This highly involved, very intricate playground was used by me when I was in Elementary school. I'm surprised this sucker is still around! I remember having great times climbing all over this and even though it is weathered, apparently there is much more fun to be hand on this jungle gym. The kids had a ball climbing all over it. I think this picture of Lana is so stinkin cute.

I'm so glad you guys had a fun time at the playground! I wish I could have joined in on the fun though. But Spring just began...so there will be plenty more opportunities for playground time!

So sad about the black eye. But the kids are looking cuter than ever!
