Birthday Party

Keilana's birthday party turned out a success, even under these circumstances! Yes ladies and gentleman, that is SNOW! Georgia does get snow, it's only once in a blue moon and not 7 inches, but we do get it. As you can see it wasn't sticking but apparently falling hard enough to freak people out into now attending Keilana's party. And it is people who have lived in Georgia their entire life and SHOULD know that there really isn't a need for a huge paranoia factor. The only thing to fear is black ice, which, doesn't usually happen until temps. fall extremly low during the night. In fact, a couple of hours after the party we went around running errands and let me tell you we were just slippin and slidin all over the place --Jon could hardly control the car. It was really, REALLY, really bad. (sense the sarcasim? I hope so, because I laid it on pretty thick). Anyway, that was my soap box and I was a little disappointed that some people didn't come. I'm tried to be understanding and in my opinion only 2 people had a good enough reason not to show up! *sigh* Oh well, life goes on. Moral of the story, if Vanessa sends you an invitation, you BETTER be there. =)

For the party the kids played with the balloons until guests arrived, all 4 kids, 3 didn't show. Then we moved on to the craft which were foamies door hangers, princess and knight theme. After that it was cake and then presents. Wendy and I made the cake the night before, actually she did most of it. I'm not into cake decorating and she only does it for our kids' parties but she is better at it then me. I'm the sewer, bow maker, and computer end. We trade off our talents to help one another out. =) Anyway, I did the party pretty quickly due to terrible weather conditions, and respected those who might want to get on home. Keilana got some really great gifts: BIG princess coloring book with paints, crayons, stickers, and markers (from Nanny & Papa). Dress up shoes, books, slushie maker (from Nanny and Papa), a cute game called the Hungry Caterpiller, that included the book (from Hadley's), Belle Princess doll, "Princess" make up kit, and a very cute soft cuddles with Keilana's name and b-day printed on it (also from Nanny and Papa). I think that was all, I can't remember anything else. Oh yes, stickers from Auntie Jamie and Uncle Chris, her pink snow suit from Grandma and Grandpa Quan (an early one) and Auntie Kristie has something waiting in Utah for her when we go out there in February.

More pictures of Keilana. Tyler's picture is an example of how the kids ate the cake, brilliant, huh? Keilana couldn't though, her's was the larger tower and wouldn't stay on her cone so she had to use a fork. The picture beside Tyler of Keilana with her cake was right after she blew out the candles. She was very thrilled everyone was clapping and "yaying" for her.
