Yup, it's that time of the year, the fall festivities begin starting with the fair. Typically, we do the Baby Contest but weren't able to make it so Kayden and Allison didn't get a chance to do that but I'm pretty sure they won't be too upset about it when they get older.
I surprised both kids, they didn't know we were going. It was Kayden's first experience really getting in there and doing it ALL--and so he did! Keilana said, "this is the best place ever!." See a trend starting? So far, the museum was the best place ever, but it looks like the fair took the cake. I wonder what place the pumpkin patch will fall in. Perhaps it will top the fair. We'll see. I took pictures in the beginning and stopped after about an hour so I could enjoy just my babies and not have the stress of documenting every second of it. There was one ride we recorded on the video camera but I didn't get a picture of it, darn it. It was a small caterpillar roller coaster that Keilana rode last year but did not enjoy herself. This year she did after being pulled on to it by Uncle. I guess she realized it wasn't so bad after all and she even held up her hands! At first we thought that Kayden and Allison were too small and when Kayden saw the big kids getting on without him, he flipped out. That was NOT going to be acceptable and he was determined to get on it if you-know-what froze over. I tried to talk to him and explain he wasn't tall enough but he wouldn't listen to reason and fought to get out of my hold. After measuring them, and just a smidge under the allowance, the lady let it slip and put them on. What a nice lady that made my toddler's day and MY day so that I would not have to calm a very sad little boy. We got to enjoy a candy apple, a caramel apple, and the neccessary funnel cake!
The trusty green car was present again. Tyler had his eyes on a different car this year though.
The motorcycles.
Taking a small break and fascinated by all the commotion.
I had to talk Kayden in to getting on another ride to get him off of this one.
They both loved the carosel but who doesn't?
The Bees.
To finish off the night, Keilana insisted on having a blue Dolphin that Tyler had won in a game so uncle too her to play the game too. This will be an addition to our swimming gear for next year.
